The Plaza Coral Gables is in the final stages of construction. It is no longer difficult to imagine what the project will look like. A quick drive-by provides a glimpse of what we have all been anticipating for many years. An elegant, balanced design has come to fruition.
Our entire team is pushing towards the next major milestones. Both the South office tower and the Loews Hotel, currently under construction, will be completed by late Fall of this year. Leases have been executed for multiple floors in the south office tower, and the Loews team has already taken reservations for events in the new hotel for December this year!
As most of our neighbors already know, our first restaurant (Fogo De Chao) has officially opened. It has been well received and is enjoying a “full house” daily. Many other Commercial tenants have already signed leases and are in the design phase for their spaces. Our residential tower “The Reserve at The Plaza” and the apartments/lofts at Galiano are almost fully occupied. The North office tower continues to lease up quickly.
While we continue to work on all aspects of the project, the Residential Neighborhood Streetscape Improvements have all been completed, and the Right of Way improvements to Galiano, Malaga, and Ponce de Leon Blvd. will commence soon. The main plaza in the project is taking shape. Some of the many large trees have been planted, fountains are being built, and pavers are being installed. This open-air plaza area is a challenging build but will be a very special place for our patrons and the public to enjoy. It is an element of the project that the development team is very proud of and eager to unveil.
It’s difficult to capture all the ongoing activities in a few sentences, but the fact is we are in the “home stretch” and have no doubt that The Plaza Coral Gables will be substantially complete by the end of this year!Video link to be linked to the Update:
